PR9376/20 EPRO Differential Hall Speed Keyphasor Sensor

PR9376/20 is an EPRO differential hall effect speed and keyphasor sensor for turbo machinery condition monitoring and overspeed protection, belonging to the PR9376 sensor series compatible with EPRO MMS6000, A6000 and A6312 speed monitor modules. This sensor variant PR9376/20 features a 2-meter integrated stainless steel armored braided cable assembly, built for long reach installation on turbines, centrifugal compressors, blowers and other critical rotating equipment in power, petrochemical and oil & gas plants.

Adopting dual differential hall chip design, PR9376/20 supports reliable zero-speed detection, rotation direction identification and stable key phase pulse output. It reads pulse signals from ferrous gear teeth or keyway targets and transmits clean square-wave digital signals to matched monitoring racks. It follows API 670 machinery protection standards and can be deployed in SIL-rated overspeed interlock loops for safety critical systems.

The supply voltage range is 10 VDC to 30 VDC, maximum response frequency up to 12 kHz. Recommended air gap depends on gear module: 1 mm for module 1 gear, 1.5 mm and above for module 2 or larger gears. Only ferromagnetic steel targets work properly; non-magnetic stainless steel targets cannot trigger valid signals. Output high level exceeds 10 V, low level stays below 1 V under standard load, with fast signal edge to avoid missed trigger points for protection logic.

Operating temperature range is -25°C to +100°C, storage temperature -40°C to +100°C. The sensing head and cable junction are sealed to IP67, resisting dust, oil mist, splashing liquid and industrial contamination. The metal braided armor provides strong resistance against vibration, friction and oil corrosion in harsh field environments. The suffix /20 denotes the 2m cable version, different from /010 (1m) variant of the same PR9376 series, same sensing performance and pin definition, only cable length differs.
