Backplane interface adapter board, which leads the internal communication signals of CPUM to the external terminals/network ports at the back end of the rack
Provide communication isolation, surge, and EMI protection to meet EMC industry standards
Support multi rack RS485 bus networking (requires optional serial port expansion module)
All external Modbus TCP/RTU and PROFINET physical interfaces are located on the IOCN backplane

ETH1 (RJ45): Main Ethernet, Modbus TCP / PROFINET， Can be connected to MPSx configuration software
ETH2 (RJ45): Backup redundant Ethernet, redundant Modbus TCP
RS port (RJ11/RJ25): secondary serial port, software jumper configuration RS232/RS485 half/full duplex, 500VDC isolation, Modbus RTU
A. Two sets of RJ11/RJ25: Expansion serial port (CPUM optional serial port expansion module required), two RS485 channels, used for multi rack daisy chain networking
Onboard jumper: used to switch serial port modes (RS232/RS485, half duplex/full duplex, terminal resistance)
Addendum: The CPUM front panel comes with a NET network port, which can be used either way; In engineering, it is generally preferred to use the backplane IOCN network port for DCS connection.
