USE815S EPRO Emerson Rack Power Supply Module

USE815S is a common typo search variant for the official Emerson EPRO UES815S rack power supply core series, the base model family behind UES815S-24A and UES815S-24AR for MMS6000 machinery protection racks. Many buyers search USE815S interchangeably when sourcing spare power units for turbine and compressor condition monitoring systems.

UES815S is the original EPRO Eurocard plug-in power unit built exclusively for the MMS6000 backplane chassis. It provides clean, low-noise regulated 24VDC power to the full rack including vibration monitors, speed monitor A6312, PR9376 keyphasor speed probes, PR6423 / PR6424 / PR6426 eddy current proximity sensors and other signal acquisition cards used for overspeed interlock, shaft vibration, axial displacement and thrust position protection on steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors in power generation, petrochemical and oil & gas plants, conforming to API 670 machinery protection requirements.

The unit accepts universal AC input 100–240VAC, 47–63Hz and delivers stabilized 24VDC output optimized for high-resolution vibration and speed signal capture. Built-in multi-protection circuits include overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit and over-temperature shutdown, which protect sensitive monitoring boards from damage caused by mains surges and field wiring faults. Low ripple and noise performance is critical to avoid false trips on SIL capable safety protection loops.

Adopting standard 19-inch Eurocard format, the UES815S base series supports hot swap replacement, so technicians can exchange the power module without shutting down the whole monitoring rack during planned maintenance. Front-mounted LED indicators clearly display power status and fault alarms for fast on-site diagnosis. It uses natural convection cooling with no internal fan, removing fan failure risk for long-term continuous operation inside control cabinets and local field junction boxes. Operating temperature range -20°C to +60°C, storage temperature -20°C to +85°C, IP20 front panel rating.

This base UES815S family has two popular suffix versions: UES815S-24A standard new version and UES815S-24AR revised / recertified spare variant. All three share identical mechanical footprint, backplane connector pinout and electrical characteristics, fully cross-compatible for rack retrofit and spare replacement. It cannot be substituted by generic DIN rail 24V power supplies because of the dedicated backplane interface and custom noise filtering tuned for EPRO MMS6000 signal measurement circuits.
