EPRO PR9268/601-000 is a passive electrodynamic absolute velocity transducer from EPRO (Emerson AMS), belonging to the PR9268/60x high-temperature series for rotating machinery casing vibration monitoring. Unlike standard PR9268/20x and PR9268/30x sensors limited to moderate ambient temperature, this variant is specially engineered for hot casing surfaces, widely adopted on steam turbine high-temperature casings, hot gas path supports and high-heat compressor housings in power and petrochemical plantsEmerson.

It follows the seismic coil principle and requires no external excitation power supply. Relative motion between the seismic mass and permanent magnet coil assembly generates output voltage linearly proportional to vibration velocity. Its damping design is optimized for elevated temperatures, maintaining stable linearity even close to 200°C working condition, a key advantage that regular PR9268/30x horizontal and PR9268/20x vertical sensors cannot match.

PR9268/601-000 is vertical mounting type. The stainless steel housing construction enables continuous operation from -20°C up to +200°C, protection class IP65, suitable for non-condensing 0–100% relative humidity environment. The frequency response range is 4 Hz to 1000 Hz, mechanical vibration limit 3000 μm peak-to-peak, amplitude linearity better than 2%. Its internal coil impedance is higher than normal-temperature PR9268 series, designed to minimize signal drift under prolonged high-temperature exposure. The raw vibration signal can connect directly to EPRO MMS3000 and MMS6000 machinery protection racks without additional preamplifier, simplifying field wiring for high-temperature measurement points.

It is supplied as bare sensor base with Harting connector, suffix 000 means no factory pre-terminated fixed-length armored cable, you can configure customized stainless steel armored PTFE cable on site according to installation distance. Net weight is 1050g, heavier than the aluminium alloy 30x series due to stainless steel housing.

Series selection guide: PR9268/60x = vertical high temperature; PR9268/70x = horizontal high temperature; PR9268/20x = vertical standard temperature; PR9268/30x = horizontal standard temperature. If your measuring point is hot casing but installation direction is horizontal, select PR9268/701-000 instead of PR9268/601-000.
