Communication Interface Module for 3500 Monitoring System

Function and Purpose

This module serves as an interface between the 3500 machinery protection and monitoring system and compatible software platforms such as System 1 condition monitoring and diagnostic software, and 3500 configuration software.
It integrates the functions of the 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the data acquisition capabilities of communication processors like TDXnet, enabling comprehensive system communication.
When used with M-series monitors (e.g., 3500/40M, 3500/42M), the module continuously collects both steady-state and transient (dynamic waveform) data and transmits it to host software via an Ethernet connection for advanced analysis and diagnostics.
