Measurement and Configuration
This sensor belongs to the 5 mm / 8 mm gap voltage displacement sensor family. The suffix “03” indicates that the total system length of the probe and extension cable is 5 meters.
The scale factor is 200 mV/mil, with a resolution of up to 0.1 μm. Measurement accuracy is ±0.5% of full scale, and nonlinearity is controlled within ±1% of full scale. The sensor is capable of accurately capturing both static and dynamic shaft displacement variations.
Operating Environment and Power Supply
The operating temperature range is –51 °C to +100 °C, allowing reliable operation under extreme industrial temperature conditions.
The sensor requires a –18 V to –24 V DC power supply and provides a 4–20 mA DC output signal, with a frequency response of 0–10 kHz, meeting the dynamic monitoring requirements of conventional rotating machinery.
Environmental Protection
The housing is rated IP67, providing excellent resistance to dust and water ingress. This ensures long-term stable operation in harsh industrial environments where exposure to dust, moisture, and vapor is common.
Core Functions and Compatibility
The sensor uses non-contact eddy current measurement technology, eliminating mechanical wear on the target surface during measurement. This extends the service life of both the sensor and the monitored equipment (such as shafts) and avoids errors associated with contact-based measurement methods.
Its primary function is the continuous monitoring of critical parameters such as shaft vibration and axial displacement in rotating or reciprocating machinery, providing reliable data for condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and predictive maintenance.
The sensor offers strong compatibility: it can form a complete displacement measurement system when used with probes and extension cables of the same series, and it is also compatible with Bently Nevada 3300 and 9000 series monitoring systems. In addition, it complies with the API 670 industry standard, making it suitable for a wide range of standardized industrial monitoring applications.
