1336-TR-SP1A Allen Bradley 1336 IMPACT Series Frequency AC Drive

1336-TR-SP1A is an Allen‑Bradley Rockwell control transformer designed exclusively as a spare for Bulletin 1336 series variable frequency drives, covering 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, IMPACT and FORCE models. This transformer provides isolated auxiliary AC power to the drive’s control logic board, cooling fan, relay circuits and low-voltage auxiliary loops, independent of the high-voltage DC bus power stage. It is a common troubleshooting spare when the drive loses control power while main input power is still present.

The SP1A designation defines the specific primary voltage taps and secondary winding output for a subset of 1336 frames and horsepower ratings. It cannot be swapped directly with other 1336-TR variants like SP2A or SP3A, which have different winding ratios. Always verify your complete drive catalog number to confirm compatibility before purchase.

Typical failure symptoms of a defective 1336-TR-SP1A include a dark drive display, non-functional cooling fan, intermittent control power dropouts, unexpected F08 over-temperature faults caused by fan shutdown, and unstable digital I/O signals, even if the power section and IGBT stage remain undamaged.
