Overview

The Bently Nevada™ 3500/70M Recip Impulse Velocity Monitor is a four-channel monitoring module designed specifically for reciprocating compressor applications. It forms a key component of the Bently Nevada reciprocating compressor monitoring solution, providing reliable measurement of crankcase and crosshead vibration to ensure equipment protection and operational insight.

The monitor receives input signals from seismic transducers, processes and conditions these signals to derive vibration parameters, and compares the measured values against user-programmable alarm setpoints for early fault detection and machine protection.

Measurement Functions

Each of the four channels can be independently configured using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to perform one of the following vibration measurement functions:

Channel Operation

Each input channel processes and conditions the transducer signal to produce derived vibration parameters, referred to as static values.

Alert setpoints can be configured for each active static value.

Danger setpoints can be configured for any two active static values, providing graduated alarm levels for protection and maintenance response.
