Overview
The 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor® Module is a half-height, dual-channel module designed to provide precise key phase reference signals to monitoring modules within the Bently Nevada 3500 Machinery Protection System.
It receives input signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups and converts them into digital Keyphasor® signals, identifying when the key phase mark on a rotating shaft aligns with the Keyphasor® sensor.
These reference signals are essential for determining shaft phase angle, speed, and vibration analysis, especially in machinery protection and diagnostic applications.
Key Features
Keyphasor Signal Processing:
Converts analog signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups into digital key phase reference signals for accurate rotational position and phase tracking.
Scalability:
The 3500 system supports up to four Keyphasor® signals in standard configuration and up to eight Keyphasor® signals in paired configurations, providing flexibility for complex or redundant monitoring setups.
Module Compatibility:
The enhanced Keyphasor® module is fully backward compatible with previous versions in both form and function.
The 149369-01 module completely replaces the earlier PWA 125792-01 module, ensuring seamless system upgrades without mechanical or wiring changes.
Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) Support:
In TMR configurations, the system requires dual Keyphasor® modules operating in parallel to provide primary and secondary reference signals to other modules in the rack, enhancing reliability and fault tolerance.
