BENTLY 3500/22M-01-01-01 Transient Data Interface Module
Function Overview
This module serves as the interface between the 3500 machinery monitoring system and compatible software platforms, such as System 1® Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Software and 3500 Configuration Software.
It combines the functions of the 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) with the advanced data acquisition capabilities of communication processors like TDXnet, enabling seamless integration and efficient data transfer.
When used with M-series monitors (e.g., 3500/40M, 3500/42M, etc.), the module continuously collects both steady-state and transient dynamic (waveform) data, transmitting it to host systems via Ethernet for real-time monitoring and detailed diagnostics.
Technical Features
Comprehensive Data Collection:
Supports standard static data acquisition as well as dynamic and high-resolution transient data collection via optional channels.
Compatible with up to four Keyphasor® signals in the 3500 system.
Capable of acquiring start-up and shutdown data at user-defined speed or time intervals.
Allows instantaneous data capture when the machine speed enters a programmable window.
Wide Speed Range Support:
The number of active dynamic channels determines the maximum supported speed range, accommodating speed inputs occurring multiple times per shaft rotation, with a maximum input frequency of 20 kHz.
Comprehensive Alarm Data Collection:
Provides detailed waveform and static data capture before, during, and after alarm events:
Waveform data: 2.5 minutes collected every 10 seconds prior to the alarm, and 1 minute collected every 10 seconds after the alarm.
Static data: Collected every 1 second from 10 minutes before to 1 minute after the event, and every 100 milliseconds from 20 seconds before to 10 seconds after the event.
This ensures accurate reconstruction of machine behavior surrounding any fault or alarm condition.

Must be installed in Slot 1 of the 3500 rack, adjacent to the Power Supply Module.

Turbine Start-up Analysis:
Captures high-frequency vibration and speed data during start-up to evaluate rotor dynamics and detect imbalance or resonance conditions.
Gearbox Fault Diagnosis:
Enables identification of gear wear, tooth damage, and shaft misalignment through detailed vibration spectrum analysis.
Pump Condition Monitoring:
Monitors vibration, temperature, and other parameters to detect bearing wear, impeller damage, and cavitation, allowing timely maintenance intervention.
