The 16-Channel Relay Module is a full-height 3500 rack module that provides 16 independent relay outputs. Any number of 16-Channel Relay Modules may be installed in any available slots to the right of the Rack Interface Module (RIM), allowing flexible system expansion.

Each relay output can be independently programmed to implement application-specific voting and alarm logic. This makes the module suitable for alarm annunciation, interlocking, and control functions in machinery protection and monitoring systems.

Each relay includes configurable Alarm Drive Logic, which can be programmed using AND / OR logic. Alarm Drive Logic can use inputs such as:

Alert alarms

Danger (Trip) alarms

Not-OK status

Individual PPLs (Point Protection Logic) from any monitor channel

Any combination of monitor channels within the rack

All relay logic is configured using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, allowing precise adaptation to system requirements.

Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) applications require the 3500/34 TMR Relay Module.
