The 3500/60 and 3500/61 Temperature Monitoring Modules provide six channels of temperature measurement and support both Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) and Thermocouple (TC) inputs.

The modules condition incoming signals and compare the processed temperature values against user-programmable alarm setpoints to support reliable machinery protection.

Functionally, the 3500/60 and 3500/61 are identical, with the exception that the 3500/61 includes recorder outputs for each of its six channels, while the 3500/60 does not.

Module configuration—such as selection of RTD or TC measurement—is performed through the 3500 Rack Configuration Software.

Two types of I/O modules are available: an RTD/TC non-isolated version and a TC-isolated version.

The RTD/TC non-isolated I/O version can accept RTD inputs, TC inputs, or any combination of the two on its six channels.

The TC-isolated I/O version provides 250 Vdc of channel-to-channel isolation, improving immunity to external electrical interference.

When applied in a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) system, temperature monitoring modules must be installed in adjacent groups of three.

In TMR configurations, the system uses two forms of voting logic to ensure accurate, dependable operation and to eliminate single-point failures.
