Based on the functional positioning within the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System, this module’s core role is to interface with various types of transducer signals and perform signal conditioning, conversion, and transmission. It is designed to accept multiple sensor types—such as proximity probes, LVDTs, and other vibration or displacement transducers—and convert the measured mechanical parameters (vibration, displacement, position, etc.) into standardized digital values for the 3500 monitoring rack.

The module is typically equipped with channel-to-channel and channel-to-system isolation, effectively reducing electromagnetic interference in harsh industrial environments and ensuring stable and accurate data transmission. In addition, users can normally configure a range of signal-processing parameters through the 3500 Rack Configuration Software, such as scaling, filtering, alarm thresholds, and channel behavior. The processed values are then integrated into the rack’s overall alarm and logic system, enabling the early detection of abnormal conditions and reducing the risk of machinery failures.
