Bently Nevada Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems are designed to measure absolute vibration—that is, vibration relative to free space—on bearing housings, casings, and other structural components. Each two-wire system consists of a velocity transducer and the appropriate interconnecting cable.

The Seismoprobe family uses a two-wire moving-coil design that produces a voltage output directly proportional to vibration velocity. Compared to solid-state velocity transducers (which are essentially accelerometers with internal integration electronics), moving-coil devices are less sensitive to impact or impulsive excitation, making them a good choice for applications where shocks or mechanical disturbances may occur. Because they require no external power, they are also well suited for portable or field measurement applications.

• 9200 Seismoprobe Transducer
  The 9200 is a two-wire moving-coil velocity transducer suitable for continuous monitoring or periodic measurements using test or diagnostic instruments. When ordered with the integral cable option, it offers excellent resistance to corrosive environments without requiring additional protective measures.

• 74712 High-Temperature Seismoprobe Transducer
  The 74712 is a high-temperature version of the 9200, designed for applications where elevated operating temperatures prevent the use of standard transducers.

Interconnect Cables

Interconnecting cables for the 9200 and 74712 are available in various lengths, with optional stainless-steel armor for enhanced mechanical protection. These cables provide reliable connection to monitoring systems or portable measurement equipment.
