1. Line Differential Systems (L30, L90)

• Increased pickup setting range for bus differential element.

• L30 – Improved availability.

• L30, L90 –

  • Master–Slave mode support for three-line terminal application with 50DD SV supervision.

  • Displayed values for 87LG restraint currents.

  • Loopback mode with channel monitoring.

2. Motor Protection

• Updated voltage-dependent thermal overload model.

• Added thermal overload trip lockout.

3. Common Protection & Control

• Enhancements to Negative Sequence and Neutral Directional Overcurrent functions.

4. Communications

• IEC61850:

  • Report control blocks capture events after Ethernet port failure.

  • Support for analog inputs.

• IEC60870-5-104 protocol enhancements.

• UR Operating System debug port now blocks Ethernet traffic.

5. Product Advisory

• Firmware upgrade restrictions for C70 and B90 devices using IRC modules with direct I/O enabled.

Firmware Upgrade Guidance

• Eligible Devices: Existing UR devices running firmware version 4.0x or higher can be upgraded to Release 5.92.

• Upgrade Recommendation:

  • If users want to take advantage of the new features and enhancements in this release, they should download and install the firmware update.

  • If the new features are not required, no upgrade is necessary—existing devices will continue to operate as before.
